Ingredients
  1. 12 oranges
  2. 2 Cinnamon sticks
  3. 2Whole Cloves Whole
  4. 4 cup Water
  5. 4 cups Sugar
  6. 1/2 cup Orange flavoured liqueur
Method
  1. With a vegetable peeler remove two long strips of peel from two of the oranges.
  2. Place in a clean one liter/2 pint jar, or divide between two smaller jars.
  3. Completely peel all 12 oranges, removing in much of the white pith as possible, and pierce each one in several places with a fork.
  4. Pack into the jars.
  5. Add the cinnamon sticks and cloves.
  6. In the saucepan, bring to boil the water and sugar.
  7. Reduce the heat to low and simmer uncovered for 10 minutes or until syrupy.
  8. Remove from the heat and add liqueur.
  9. Pour over oranges, cover and allow to cool.
  10. Refrigerate until ready to serve.
