Spiced Oranges

Ingredients
- 12 oranges
- 2 Cinnamon sticks
- 2Whole Cloves Whole
- 4 cup Water
- 4 cups Sugar
- 1/2 cup Orange flavoured liqueur
Method
- With a vegetable peeler remove two long strips of peel from two of the oranges.
- Place in a clean one liter/2 pint jar, or divide between two smaller jars.
- Completely peel all 12 oranges, removing in much of the white pith as possible, and pierce each one in several places with a fork.
- Pack into the jars.
- Add the cinnamon sticks and cloves.
- In the saucepan, bring to boil the water and sugar.
- Reduce the heat to low and simmer uncovered for 10 minutes or until syrupy.
- Remove from the heat and add liqueur.
- Pour over oranges, cover and allow to cool.
- Refrigerate until ready to serve.
